These chairs are very light and very sturdy. They are perfect for my 'transition area' of dining room-to-kitchen. The chairs harmonize with all the kitchen appliances, sink and fixtures that are stainless steel finish. I wasted time and money buying wooden counter stools first, but these are the "correct" choice for me! Some "Land's End at Sears" retail and catalog order stores are furnished with these counter stools, so you can try them out first. <br/><br/>The delivery was excellent, also. The stools came thoroughly wrapped and taped for protection during shipping. I thought unwrapping would take a long time, but the VERY THOUGHTFUL people at the chair factory used low-stickiness tape, and left an end up for easy removal. It took seconds to unwrap a chair that arrived looking like a mummy. Excellent product, good price. These chairs are very light and very sturdy. They are perfect for my ‘transition area’ of dining room-to-kitchen. The chairs harmonize with all the kitchen appliances, sink and fixtures that are stainless steel finish. I wasted time and money buying wooden counter stools first, but these are the “correct” choice for me! Some “Land’s End at Sears” retail and catalog order stores are furnished with these counter stools, so you can try them out first.

The delivery was excellent, also. The stools came thoroughly wrapped and taped for protection during shipping. I thought unwrapping would take a long time, but the VERY THOUGHTFUL people at the chair factory used low-stickiness tape, and left an end up for easy removal. It took seconds to unwrap a chair that arrived looking like a mummy. I ordered four and will order the same ones again for another area.
